Anti-tyrosinase and antioxidant activity of proanthocyanidins from <i>Cinnamomum camphora</i>

In this study, total phenols (TP) and proanthocyanidins (PAs) in the leaves branches of Cinnamomum camphora were investigated, isolated PAs determined using reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-MS). The anti-tyrosinase antioxidant activities also evaluated. Furthermore, scanning study dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) oxidation performed to further analyze inhibition mechanism on tyrosinase catalytic activity. had strong inhibitory effects monophenolase activity, with effectively prolonged delay time decreased steady-state For diphenolase both showed reversible mixed inhibition. Moreover, scavenging 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 1,2?-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonicacid) (ABTS) ferric reducing power (FRAP) assays. stronger capacity, suggesting that C. may be a good resource for inhibitors antioxidants. This could provide scientific basis utilization development new natural antioxidants medical, cosmetic, food, agricultural industries.
